Coffee Chats | 4

Welcome back to Coffee Chats! You can find my previous coffee chats here if you’ve missed any. This is the post that I kind of fill you in on my life and blog. It’s a little more detailed than my weekly Sunday Vibes posts. Read on for more!

I’ve mentioned recently that I’m focusing on my lifestyle content. I’m so excited to write more about all things lifestyle. If you have any requests, please let me know and I’ll respond! If you’re here for beauty-related posts, don’t worry! You’ll be able to find all my beauty content here.

I’ve been writing my newsletter that goes out tomorrow (you can sign up to get on the list here!) and would love to know what you guys think of it/what else you’d like to see. It’s so fun to connect with you guys that way and I hope I can bring you a little inspiration every month!

Gary and I had a meeting on Wednesday night to talk about my blog and the direction I want to go in. We listed out goals for the year and broke them down into monthly and weekly goals. Since I’m so motivated by goals, I think this was a great idea for me. If you’re a blogger, feel free to contact me and we can hold each other accountable for our blogging goals!

Things may be looking different around here soon.. (eek!)

With so many goals for the new year lined up, I’ve never been more motivated. Gary and I have a big year in front of us with working on possibly launching two businesses, traveling, weddings and more! I’ll be telling my email list first of all the exciting activities we’ve got going on, so make sure you’re signed up!

Gary and I have also been talking a lot about whether we want to move or stay in our apartment. I love our tiny apartment, but we can get so much more bang for our buck if we move outside the city. We need to know in the next few months, so we’ll see!

Like I’ve mentioned before, we have a few trips planned for this year. We are heading to Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Iceland, and Hilton Head/Savannah, Georgia in the next few months. I can’t wait for all of our travels. Let me know if you want to see any specific traveling posts from me!

I realized in November that my face was broken out and not getting any better so I decided to double check the ingredients in my cleanser and noticed that it contained the main ingredient I’m allergic to. I flipped out! I immediately stopped using it and stopped cleansing my face altogether and decided to just use my makeup remover cleansing oil to give my skin a break. After a matter of days, my breakouts subsided. I couldn’t believe it! My face wasn’t feeling that clean just using my cleansing oil, so I recently added the Fresh Beauty Soy Face Cleanser to my skincare lineup and have been loving it. It’s super pricey for a cleanser, but it has kept my skin so clear and smooth. I’ve got to be honest, it really stinks having such sensitive skin, but it’s made me rethink my skincare and makeup and realize that it’s okay to minimize what’s going on my skin.

Gary’s work party is tomorrow and I’m looking forward to it! I’ve never been to a real office work party since I was in college and always home for Christmas when my workplace had their party. Though, I still don’t have anything to wear! I might have to go stop by a store or two tonight.
