In my last Maskcara Makeover post, I mentioned that I did my sister’s makeup for a rehearsal dinner. Well, I did my mom’s makeup too for the wedding the next day. I thought I’d share!
- Milk Moisturizer
- Stay Spray
- IIID perfector
- Detail HAC Brush
- I Shadow Everything Brush
- Power Powder Brush
- B Squared Bronzer and Blush Brush
- Wheat Highlight
- Indigo Contour
- Nude Blush
- Honey Illuminator
- Tarte Highlight & Contour Palette
- Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion
- Sabrina Eyeshadow
- Bright Eyes Eyeshadow
- Trust Eyeshadow
- Gilded Eyeshadow
- NYX Tinted Brow Mascara
- Vanilla Dust Setting Powder
Before I started applying any makeup, my mom used her Milk Moisturizer to make sure her skin was moisturized – this allows the makeup to sit evenly and not cling to any dry spots. After allowing the moisturizer to sink in, I sprayed Stay Spray on a IIID Perfector and dabbed it all overhear face. This way, I would ensure her makeup would last all throughout the wedding and the rehearsal dinner.
I then took my Detail HAC Brush and applied a small amount of Wheat Highlight to her eyelids. This acted as a base. Then, I used my IIID Perfector to set it with my Vanilla Dust Setting Powder – ensuring that her eyelids wouldn’t get oily. Right after, I put Urban Decay’s Eyeshadow Primer Potion all over the lid – this is the best eyeshadow primer I’ve used! It doesn’t allow any type of crashing and the shadows will stay all night!
When I’m doing an eyeshadow look, I always like to start with the eyes because I don’t want to get any fall out on the face. I used my I Shadow Everything Brush to apply Sabrina Eyeshadow all over the lid as a base. Then, I took Bright Eyes and applied it on top of Sabrina. For the crease, I used Trust and blended it out with the other side of the I Shadow Everything Brush. For the outer corner, I used Gilded and blended it out. She used Essence Eyeliner. For her lashes, she used Essence Mascara and for her eyebrows, she used NYX Tinted Brow Mascara.
After I finished the eyes, I moved on to highlight. I applied her Wheat Highlight all over her face with the large end of my Detail HAC Brush and then stippled it in with a IIID Perfector. For contour, I used Indigo and applied it under her cheekbones, along her jawline, down the sides of her nose, and around her forehead and then blended it out with a IIID Perfector. For bronzer, I used this Tarte Contour & Highlight palette and applied the contour shade with a B Squared Bronzer and Blush Brush to where I placed the Indigo contour.
To add a little bit of glow, I applied Honey Illuminator down the center of her nose, on her cupid’s bow, and on her cheekbones. I then applied a touch of highlight from this Tarte Contour & Highlight palette on top of the illuminator.
What do you think??
