I have a confession: I’ve been using the same shampoo and conditioner for YEARS. I always go back to my certain brand and specific scent, only changing my ways every once in a while when I get bored of my typical shampoo and conditioner. I’ve recently become pretty complacent with my current duo, so when I had a chance to work with Hask and try out their new shampoo and conditioner, I jumped at the opportunity! Here’s my review:
A little bit about the products:
The chia seed oil volumizing shampoo and conditioner* are formulated with chia seeds in order to bring body, bounce, and volume to the hair. Chia Seeds are said to be enriched with hair-volumizing proteins, antioxidants, and shine-enhancing nutrients like omega-3s. Sounds amazing, right?
What I Like:
The scent of this shampoo and conditioner is amazing. My hair will smell good for days after using these products and every time I use them, Gary always comments on my hair saying I smell really nice (and who doesn’t love being told their hair smells good!?)! I love the packaging of this shampoo and conditioner – they look cute and sleek and contain a good amount of product. I’ve been using both of these for a two months now and I’m not even close to running out. Both products are formulated without sulfates, parabens, phthalates, gluten, drying alcohol, and artificial coloring, which is a huge factor for me these days as I’ve been more apt to check what ingredients are in the products I’ve been using. Another aspect of these products I really enjoyed is what they did for my hair – they truly did give my hair more volume in the lengths, but because my hair is ultra thick, they didn’t give me much volume in the roots.
Unfortunately, there is one aspect of these products I’m not a huge fan of and that’s the price. Though sold for around $5.99 each may seem cheap, the bottles are only 12 fl oz. The shampoo I regularly buy is 28 fl oz for $4.49, which makes me think about the trade off there. If you’re one to splurge on hair products, I’d definitely recommend purchasing. However, if you don’t care too much about hair products and rather spend your money elsewhere, I think it would be a good idea to skip these products.
Overall, I think this shampoo and conditioner duo is great and highly recommend them!
