Travel Diary | Kauai, Hawaii Pt. 3

Travel Diary | Kauai, Hawaii Pt. 3

I’m back today with the final part of my Kauai travel diary! If you missed the other two, click here and here to read them.

On day eleven, Gary and I drove up to Hanalei. We walked around a few stores and then drove up the coast looking for a beach to stop at. We finally stumbled upon a small area to park and walked under a patch of trees to a beautiful beach. The beach had the most beautiful water and was secluded (there were only a hand-full of people around!).

On day twelve, Gary and I had a super chill day out at the pool. After a few hours at the pool, we headed back to the condo to get ready for the luau! We went to the Kalamaku Luau and I would really recommend it. There was an open bar, vendors set up, a buffet, and a really fun atmosphere to enjoy. Gary and I had a great time watching the show (especially the fire part).

On day thirteen, Gary and I spent the day at Shipwreck Beach basking in the sun. For dinner, we drove to Garden Isle Grille and had a super tasty dinner and mango tea while enjoying the fun, live music.

On day fourteen, we got up and went to St. Raphael’s for mass and then drove to La Spezia for brunch. The atmosphere is so nice and the food was so good! I highly recommend it if you’re ever on the island. After we ate, we spent a few hours outside enjoying the beach.

On our last day in Hawaii, we woke up and finished packing up all of our things. We went to eat at Puka Dog and then went back to the beach. After a few hours sitting on the beach reading, we went to Starbucks for some coffee. After an hour or two, it was time to begin our drive to the airport. After 45 minutes, we stopped for dinner at Mema Thai Chinese Cuisine. Gary and I ordered fried rice and coconut chicken curry and it was seriously the best curry we’ve ever had!
