Over the weekend, Gary and I traveled to Virginia for a job interview he had.
We stayed an extra day to look around Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, and Norfolk. We stayed at the Hilton Virginia Beach Oceanfront hotel and it was so nice! Unfortunately, I didn’t get to take any pictures of the food because most of our meals were spent with people from the company. However, we did eat really good!

For our first meal in Virginia, we went to Waterman’s on the beach for lunch where I had the chicken tacos. They were so tasty! Later Friday night, we went to Dockside and I ordered the blackened crab cakes and had a few bites of the blackened tuna. I haven’t eaten seafood like that before! On Saturday morning, we walked over to Neptune’s Park and were there for only two minutes before our rental car was ready, but I did take a minute to take a picture. We drove over to Chesapeake to check out apartments, the business where Gary would work, and the local Target and grocery stores. After that, we headed to downtown Norfolk where we visited the Nauticus Naval Museum where most of the pictures above were taken. The museum was attached to the USS Wisconsin in the port. We were able to walk a few floors of the battleship, which was really awesome. It was huge! Afterwards, we walked around downtown and ate at Ya Ya for dinner. They had some of the best asian food I’ve had in a long time. When we had finished eating, we walked to Hummingbird Macarons and Desserts where we picked up some macarons for dessert. Their salted caramel and banana pudding macarons were so good!

We had the best weekend. I can’t wait to go back!

Have you ever been to Virginia Beach? What did you do this weekend?
